We find a snake skin outside the back door. It’s about 2 feet long, probably left over from the Volunteer Mouse Eater Brigade of last year. It’s intact, very cool, with eye bubbles and everything. 7 year old and her friend exclaim, touch, smile. 4 year old exclaims, touches, smiles. 7 year old lays it carefully on the carpet by the door so that 11 year old, when she surfaces, can exclaim, touch, smile.
Infant One finds snake skin. Infant One eats snake skin. No exclaiming, touching, smiling for 11 year old. But, gee, Infant One sure seems pleased with himself.
